REMEMBER AND PRAY FOR OUR TROOPS

Please excuse me for getting a little more personal this week, but we now have our two oldest sons serving in Iraq.  We are extremely proud of them and all our troops serving their country.  Here's a little more on what our two oldest sons are doing -

Bobby, a 1997 graduate of Cannon Falls High School, left for Balad, Iraq in mid August and is part of a Military Transition Team. The MiTT is a team that embeds, lives with and trains the Iraqi Army.  They advise the fledgling security forces in the areas of intelligence, communications, fire support, logistics and infantry tactics. The aim is to make the Iraqi unit self-sustainable tactically, operationally and logistically so that the battalion is prepared to take over responsibility for battle space.  Captain Johnson trained at Ft. Riley, Kansas and prior to that was based out of Ft. Lewis, Washington. His wife Natalie is also a Captain in the Army, and recently returned from a year long deployment to Iraq where she served as a nurse.  Johnson expects to be in Iraq for the next 12 months.

Jesse is a 1995 graduate of Cannon Falls High School and is the commander of the Crusader Troop/1st Squadron, 6th Cavalry Regiment, which fall’s under the Army’s 1st Infantry Division.  Captain Johnson is a helicopter pilot; flying the KIOWA Warrior.  Crusader’s three primary missions are reconnaissance, security and attack; the troop conducts security operations to provide ground commanders with reaction time, maneuver space, and protection to air-ground maneuver.  And finally destroy enemy forces through use of aerial firepower, mobility, and shock effect.  Johnson is based in Kirkuk, Iraq which is located north of Balad.  This is his third deployment; having already served in Bosnia and Afghanistan.  He is based out of Ft. Carson, Colorado where his wife Teresa, daughter Taylor, and sons Aiden and Gavin anxiously await his return home.  Johnson is expected to spend the next 15 months in Iraq.

Please keep all our troops in your prayers.

Concerning benefit auctions, we had a blast this past Sunday conducting a Benefit Auction for St. Pius Catholic Church in Cannon Falls.  It was their Fall Festival, and the weather was absolutely perfect!  We had raffles, games, live music, delicious food, and of course silent and live auctions!  It was a lot of fun and we made a lot of money for the church, and that my friends is what it's all about!

We'll be busy next week, as we conduct benefit auctions for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital "Fall Festival of Hope," Anoka-Ramsey Community College's "Prairie Home Delight," Family Services "Green & Gold Gala," and the Zoom House "Snapshots of  Hope!"

We love what we do, and would love to help you!  That's Johnson Auctioneering, "focusing on the enjoyment in raising funds by auction!"
